Brief Reviews: There are plenty of attorneys in Amador and El Dorado counties with good reputations. Why chose one like David Foyil? You need to bear in mind that a dishonest attorney can get away with it for years by simply settling out of court on any complaints. Settled complaints do not go on the attorney???s record. And that the following is just a sample of the things I witnessed while employed by this dishonest attorney. In addition it appears David has hired a PR firm to try to clean up his reputation. They are the source of the make belief press releases and the positive comments that are now showing up. My experience with this attorney is that he is in fact the most dishonest person I have ever met. Things that I can and have testified to in cases against this dishonest attorney are: I personally saw David E. Foyil destroy signed unfiled legal documents (specifically a substitution of attorney ); because David E. Foyil never filed said document. The client was charged as if she was represented by David E Foyil. David E. Foyil went on vacation rather than attend his own recusal. The Client was left without counsel. She informed me she settled with David E. Foyil out of court. She still lost her house. I have personal knowledge that David E. Foyil charged an Eldorado county client over 2 hours travel time @over $200per hour for travel from his office in Placerville to the Placer county court. Actually a ten to fifteen min walk. The client had already spent several thousand $ for which he lost his business and drivers license. David E. Foyil failed to file any motions until after the calendaring deadline resulting in the client being turned over to Child support enforcement for an amount several times his annual income. David Foyil's advice was to hire him (David Foyil) to file a chapter 13 bankruptcy. I have personal knowledge that David Foyil charged clients several thousand dollars for work that was never completed. I have personal knowledge of clients who were forced to file three separate bankruptcies because of procedural errors made by David E. Foyil. (Missed deadlines) I have personal knowledge that David E. Foyil charge one client over $3000 in one week on clerical charges for work never done. Specifically the charges were listed as copying files. Over 40 hours of file copying in one week. The client settled with David E. Foyil out of court. I an scheduled to testify in pending case against David E Foyil that he billed another client for several thousand dollars of work in my name (that was never done). In my humble opinion anyone who hires David E Foyil is a fool.

Brief Reviews: My mother suffered a serious heart condition that was caused by medicine she took years ago. This firm helped her obtain a hefty settlement that covered her medical expenses and then some. Throughout the process the lawyer and staff were very responsive and caring. This was one of those lawsuits where a lot of people were affected by the same drug so they had a large number of clients - so we were impressed that they gave my mother such individual attention. I highly recommend this firm to anyone who has been injured and needs a good lawyer.
