Brief Reviews: Attorney Donaldson has been a huge disappointment. Lawyer for my late Cousin, who died unexpectantly, car crashed into coffie shop. Donaldson had posses. of Will for years. Two Houston Attorney's read it, ask for attachments;never put in legal form, not cousin's handwritting. Pieces of scrap paper, dates scratched off etc. Donaldson and trustee of the Will, S.Works, both "friends"...claimed changes made in April 2008?? Donaldson and trustee S.Works, were negligent proper contact after the accident. I only found out by re emailing to Marc, which S.Works intercepted, 4 days after he lay near death and on life support. He had his spleen removed; Never expected much of a chance to live. Ms. Works unplugged him July 4, 11 long days, staying at Marc's home, I am told "removing" items daily. Works did not return hospital updates in a timely manner. Donaldson has been remiss in any updates. Regarding another part of this accident, he told me "not to interfer with the investigation" that was months ago. I had to address the first Attorney of that firm, Pappas to do anything. All of this added to my extreme sorrow. I am a heart patient. The two Attorneys in Houston, suggested the attachment properties, should be sold, and added to the Will. I sent that request. No answer. MY share of the Will remains questionable. I was Marc's closest friend and relative. We emailed daily, shared doing our Family genealogy, and were very close. The real concern now, is what changes were made in April 2008, and two of Marc's neighbors/S.Works friends, 30%, 25-25 and mine 5%. I am not a greedy person, and needed the funds to get my grand daugher into USC Law School. When I got $10,000 In January, for a portion of the sale of Marc's home, was promised the rest @the first of the year. It is the first of the year, now going, soon gone. This by no means a biggie estate, however Marc did have stocks, art etc... Marc hardly mentioned the neighbors, and that they were "friends" of S.Works. I have every email and one full drawer full of our letters. S. Works said she had a file full of our correspondence. Marc told me S.Works would notify me if anything health wise were to transpire. After he lay dying, I specifically requested that his Parish Priest be notified for Last Rights. No one got back with me, and I finally notified the hospital Chaplain. Donaldson refuses even now, after a recent request to send me any updates. I felt that Donaldson, should be working for me as I was listed in the Will. Upon his invitation, in email he advised me to come to him for questions. On the day I recieved the funds, Check #259 I thought it was way too many expenditures, for Marc who was one who made this Will well in advance and ran his life in a very orderly manner, way too organized. I got a registered letter from Donaldson, advising me that "HE DID NOT WORK FOR ME"...SO I have mixed messages. I am left in doubt of my cousins life long funds, intentions by S.Works to keep me totally in the dark! The person who crashed into the building that day, not only took the life of my Marc, he took two other lives. My life is forever changed and that of others. I wanted someone to be accountable. I counted on Donaldson, if not as a Lawyer, but as a friend of Marc's to please keep me up to date. This has caused me many sleepless nights and additional blood pressure meds. I came from a long line of Attorneys and worked in my Uncle Jack MCGuinn's office summers. I have some knowledge abt. Will's and Trust. During those 11 days, Marc lay dying, I got on the internet, found that a family member had to be present, to unplug, made contact with a cousin, and she was there. NO ONE, should have to have been kept in this state, when no hope was give to start with. Donaldson is not a good person and a lousy Lawyer. MBethrowe@Yahoo.com, does anyone out there care ?
