From the supplier: The resolution of liability claims for traffic accidents involving uninsured motorists often uses arbitration. Attorneys should bear in mind that selecting a neutral arbitrator is crucial and can be analogized to the selection of a jury. Preparation should include making an arbitration notebook, an itemized list of damages and preparing the client for direct and cross-examination. Attorneys should understand the medical data concerning their client's injury. Demonstrative medical evidence and evidence on the client's personality and accomplishments can be useful. Both lay and expert witnesses should testify. Attorneys should view the arbitration hearing as a trial.
